A by-election is a special election held to fill a vacant position in the Students’ Union (SU) outside of the usual election cycle.
How a By-Election Works
📝 Nominations Open – Students can put themselves forward for the vacant position.
📢 Campaigning – Candidates promote their policies and engage with students.
🗳 Voting – Students vote to elect the new officers.
🏆 Winner Announced – The successful candidate will be announced.

PART-TIME OFFICER –
50 WRITTEN SIGNATURES
When collecting the signatures from students, you must get their full name and student number.
ONCE YOU HAVE COLLECTED YOUR SIGNATURE NOMINATIONS, YOU MUST SUBMIT THEM TO THE RETURNING OFFICER, ALONG WITH YOUR COMPLETED MANIFESTO, AND A PHOTO OF YOUR STUDENT ID OR OFFICIAL REGISTRATION LETTER FROM TUS
