Your SU represents you on numerous councils and committees on many levels. We strive to make sure you get the best deal possible when it comes to your education and your welfare. We are also active members of USI, where we work on national campaigns relating to social, economic and academic issues.

Amelia Lown

President
Amelia is the chief executive officer and principle spokesperson for the Students Union. Amelia is responsible for administering, operating and leading the Union on a day-today basis and for negotiating on its behalf with external organisations. The President represents all students for TUS on all the major decision-making bodies within TUS, including Governing Body, Academic Council and multiple other boards/committees. The President represents, advocates and supports all TUS Students’ Union members.

Jos Gjibels

Deputy President for Postgraduate Affairs

Jos is the representative for all postgraduate students at TUS. Jos works closely with postgraduate students, offering support on academic and welfare issues, representing postgraduate students on Academic Council, Governing Body, and multiple boards and committees. Jos chairs the Postgraduate Students Committee and creates events and initiatives for postgraduates on campus.

Gearóid Folan

Deputy President for the MidWest

Gearóid oversees the work of the Vice-Presidents in the Midwest region: Moylish, Clonmel, Clare Street and Ennis, while assisting with the work of the President, ensuring operations of the Union are effective and efficient.

AJ Shipley

Vice President for Education & Welfare (Clare Street & Ennis)

AJ is responsible for educational matters on the Clare Street and Ennis campuses such as grants queries, exam issues and fee’s, as well as welfare issues such as accommodation and health. If you’re on the Clare Street or Ennis campus and have a question on any of these, do get in touch with AJ!
