Rare TV are producing a brand new Science series for RTÉ which is taking a look into the future to discover how the science of today will shape the Ireland we will be living in 25 years from now. Taking on the challenge will be a team of interdisciplinary experts, who will create a virtual reality version of Athlone 2050 – reimagining the town as a city of the future.But we need your help!

Rare TV are looking to hear from Athlone residents who would like to be involved and have insights to offer on what it is like to live in Athlone Town today what kind of changes would they like to see implemented as their hometown evolves into a Futureville. Our team of experts will explore a broad array of science & technology solutions currently being developed in Ireland which will hopefully address many of today’s issues and help provide a better life for everyone in the future version of Athlone.
