Companies Sought for Collaboration with AIT Students on Live Digital Marketing Projects

Athlone Institute of Technology (AIT) is inviting companies nationally to collaborate with digital marketing students on a series of live digital marketing projects over the coming 2021/22 academic year.

Supervised by experienced lecturers, students from the Bachelor of Business (Hons) in Digital Marketing and the Master of Science in Digital Marketing will undertake digital marketing projects for real-life companies.

The life of digital marketing projects

Theywill begin with students designing a digital marketing strategy for their host company in the first semester, before implementing the strategy in the second semester.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for companies to collaborate with us and fill their digital marketing resource gaps using our students’ expertise and knowledge of cutting-edge digital marketing methods,” says Louise Murray, a marketing lecturer with the Faculty of Business and Hospitality at AIT.

“If you think your company could benefit from such a collaboration, please get in touch. We are open to businesses of all sizes from one person operations to SMEs, right up to multinational companies from any sector.”

Now in its fourth year, AIT’s digital marketing outreach initiative has proven extremely successful and has garnered interest from a wide variety of companies across a broad range of industries.

Our digital marketing students obtain hands-on industry experience

In years past, students have worked with companies such as Henshaw Eyewear, DPD, Neueda Technology, Alexion, and Rye River Brewery; the digital marketing strategies that emerged from these collaborations were bespoke and completely unique to the respective company and their needs.

According to Dr Aisling Keenan Gaylard, a digital marketing lecturer with the Faculty of Business and Hospitality at AIT, the collaboration is extremely beneficial for students.

“Our digital marketing students obtain hands-on industry experience collaborating with SMEs in the region. They get to develop their analytical, creativity, critical thinking and organisational skills working for these companies. This industry-based project has benefited our past students greatly and has provided them with a stepping stone for their future career in digital marketing.”

Companies interested in participating in the programme are invited to fill out an expression of interest form, available at www.ait.ie/digitalprojects

If you require any further information, please email Louise Murray (lmurray@ait.ie) and Dr Aisling Keenan (akeenan@ait.ie).
