We are currently recruiting qualified full time early year’s educators for Wonder Years Creche in Cornafulla Athlone Co. Roscommon
the ideal candidate will have a fun, friendly and enthusiastic personality.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• To be attentive to the children in your care
• Partake in the efficient day to day running of the classroom
• Implement an emergent curriculum
• Document curriculum making links to Aistear.
• Incorporate Outdoor Play daily
• To work in close co-operation with the manager & the other team members
• Carry out monthly observations

Requirements:

• A recognised childcare qualification (minimum level 7/8 in childcare or above, salary in line with qualification and responsibilities).
• Enjoy being part of a childcare team
• Use initiative appropriately and exercise responsibility when required
• Good communication skills through English.
• Knowledge of age appropriate curriculum planning
• Experience in a childcare environment desirable

Candidates must hold a minimum FETAC Level 7/8 in Early Childhood Care and Education or equivalent and be able to work in Ireland.
The ideal candidate will enjoy being part of a fun and energetic environment. They will use their initiative to plan a fun and active programme for our school aged children, This will give the applicant the opportunity to develop and advance their skills in this area of expertise of the childcare sector. Teamwork is what we pride ourselves in at Wonder Years and each staff member supports the other in the day to day running of our facility.

We provide a homely and loving environment with the intimacy of a family run Crèche. We have been in business for over 23 years. We cater for children from 1 year to 12 years of age.

We offer CPD with external parties as well as in-house training.

In our service we look for candidates who are willing to show innovation, initiative and leadership, in return we offer a friendly fun and warm atmosphere whereby you, our team mate, are fully supported and given the tools you require to grow within our service.
We have free on site parking. We have extensive outdoor grounds, which are maintained regularly and provides us the opportunity to work our programmes outdoors as well as indoors. Rate of Pay is decided on experience and performance and all staff have the opportunity for incremental wages. Candidates must have an energetic personality and be driven by the enjoyment and satisfaction gained from caring for and educating children. Experience is an advantage but not essential.
